Saints of Cumbria

If you are a Christian, then according to the Holy Scriptures, you are a saint.

This page refers to the ‘famous’ saints from the past who tred the Cumbrian sod.

Historical references demonstrate that the ancient saints were extraordinary. Then again, in ancient days there were no reporters from the secular press more then willing to rummage through a trash can for a morsel of scandal, or to misrepresent the truth, to further their own sad careers and eventual demise into an eternity of hell.

To-days main Christian players may be even more remarkable than the ancient ones, because they shine in a world where darkness often comes robed in white newspaper copy.

Our leaders are truly remarkable, but nevertheless, the truth is that every person who gives their life to Christ is extraordinary, no matter how  weak they are, no matter how many mistakes they make, no matter how inadequate they feel - as long as they genuinely want to follow Jesus and are trying to do so - they are saints and they will have eternal and everlasting life.
